Cathy Dippnall’s formative years were spent in South, East and Central Africa and England where her interest in history, environment, people and places was fed by a voracious appetite for reading and an inquisitive nature that led her to interesting places and careers, most notably in tourism, journalism and the communications industry. She owns her own communications company, Eish Expressions. When she is not writing or reading, she mentors and up-skills young (and older) people, takes care of her three dogs and cat, family, gardening, knitting or crocheting items for charitable organisations and singing in her church choir.

Some of the magazines and organisations Cathy works, or has worked for include: Africa Interactive & CBI (Netherlands foreign ministry),, Cape Media Events & Publishing, Leadership & BBQ magazines, Inspire South Africa magazine, South Magazine, Young Business Leaders web portal, Cape Town Activa web portal, local municipalities and tourism bureaus, The Herald & Weekend Post, George Herald, CXpress, Sunday Times and supplements. She is an accredited member of SAFREA.
