I am a full time freelance photojournalist and children’s book author and have been writing professionally since 1999. My work features regularly in four South African magazines and while I write on a wide variety of subjects, travel and environmental articles form the core of my work. I have written about 30 children’s books under a couple of pseudonyms for a British publishing company, and in 2011 my children’s book -Desert Prisoner - was published by Tafelberg under my own name.

I live to the west of Durban in South Africa, in the country’s oldest urban conservancy (Everton Conservancy) which I chaired for a decade until 2014 when, at last, someone else was willing to take over from me!
